25 Yard Dumpster Rental

In today's report focuses on the frequently ignored, but crucial industry of dumpster rentals. The business of renting dumpsters holds a significant position in waste management and environmental sustainability.

Nationwide, renovation projects, house remodels, and major cleanups utilize dumpster rentals. These dumpsters provide a convenient and effective way to accumulate and dispose of waste materials. They are available in several sizes, to meet a broad range of needs.

Yet, renting a dumpster is not as straightforward as it may appear. Users must take into account the kind of waste, local regulations, rental period, and the dimension of the dumpster. It's necessary to opt for a reliable company that gives clear pricing, quick delivery, and exceptional customer service.

Additionally, the dumpster rental industry is making strides in promoting environmental sustainability. Several companies are at present offering 'green' dumpsters particularly for recyclable materials. This stimulates recycling and minimizes the amount of waste being sent to landfills.

To sum up, the dumpster rental industry is an essential part of our system for managing waste. It supplies a valuable service that aids in preserving our communities neat and our habitat safe. When next you embark on a significant project, remember the importance of opting for the appropriate dumpster rental service.

You won’t need to travel too far into the future to see Apple TV Plus’ next adventure series. The streamer just announced that Time Bandits, an adaptation of the 1981 Terry Gilliam film of the same name, will premiere on July 24th. The TV version of the story will span 10 episodes and, according to Apple, is about “an unpredictable journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin.”

Related

The show has some comedy bona fides at least, with Jemaine Clement and Iain Morris serving as co-showrunners and Taika Waititi also on board as co-creator and executive producer. The cast, meanwhile, is led by Lisa Kudrow and a young Kal-El Tuck and also features the likes of Tadhg Murphy, Charlyne Yi, and Roger Nsengiyumva. You can get a first look at some of the main cast in the photo above.

Here’s the full description, according to Apple:

Guided by Lisa Kudrow, the eccentric crew of bandits embark on epic adventures while evil forces threaten their conquests and life as they know it. As the group transports through time and space, the gang stumbles upon fascinating worlds of the distant past while seeking out treasure, depending on Kevin to shed light on each situation. The Time Bandits witness the creation of Stonehenge, see the Trojan Horse in action, escape dinosaurs in the prehistoric ages, wreak havoc during medieval times, experience the ice age, ancient civilizations, the Harlem Renaissance, and much more along the way.

Time Bandits will continue a steady run of genre shows on Apple TV Plus. The not-quite-what-it-seems detective series Sugar just wrapped up its first season, the multiversal Dark Matter is ongoing, and July will also see the premiere of a robot mystery show called Sunny.

I wonder if Apple CEO Tim Cook was surprised by the visceral revulsion many people felt after viewing the newest commercial for Apple’s iPad. In it, a plethora of creative tools are flattened by an industrial press. Watching a piano, which if maintained can last for something like 50 years, squished to advertise a gadget, designed to be obsolete in less than 10, is infuriating. The backlash was immediate.

The message many of us received was this: Apple, a trillion-dollar behemoth, will crush everything beautiful and human, everything that’s a pleasure to look at and touch, and all that will be left is a skinny glass and metal slab.

Astoundingly, this is meant to sell a product. “Buy the thing that’s destroying everything you love,” says Apple. This is quite a change from the famous “1984” ad, where Apple styled itself as smashing boring conformity. Sure, the new ad is tone-deaf — after all, Apple rose to prominence by aligning itself with creative types. But it also takes an embarrassingly narrow view of technology. Imagine being such a rube that you believe that the only good technology is new technology.

The iPad doesn’t replace those experiences

That view of technology is fundamentally disrespectful. We are surrounded by stuff that’s meant to endure. Technology, in a much broader sense, is innately hopeful. It’s a bright golden thread between our past and our future.

Language is the most basic technology, the one that lets us build everything else. Writing down our thoughts meant we could begin to access lifetimes of experience. The Pythagorean theorem was so significant when it was first discovered that a cult formed around it; I learned it in sixth grade because it was foundational for a lot of things we created later. These foundations — language, math — made possible a chain of events that allowed Apple to exist.

There’s still a place for the technology Apple crushes in its ad. A TV screen is larger and more enjoyable to use than an iPad if you don’t need to be on the move; that’s why most people still own one. A record player allows the secondary joy of trading physical objects, and get-togethers at record stores. The arcade video game exists in places where you gather with other people.

The iPad doesn’t replace those experiences. At its best, it complements them. I have never met a professional carpenter who uses only a multi-tool to get their job done. But if you’re trying to travel light, that Swiss Army knife is probably better than an entire toolkit.

This ad does highlight a particular Silicon Valley attitude: It scorns the past as outdated

This ad does highlight a particular Silicon Valley attitude: It scorns the past as outdated rather than respecting it as clever. In some sense, these companies have to: they’ve got products to sell. If Apple were to build something as durable as a piano, it would sell a lot fewer computers. In fact, the company has a history of kneecapping its own products in order to sell more of them: it deliberately slowed its older iPhones, for instance. It also has a history of making repairing and maintaining its products difficult.

In this ad, technology is disposable. I flinched when that piano got crushed. But apparently, no one inside the company did — and a lot of people had to sign off on this ad. The emotional valence of crushing is unmistakable; simply reversing the ad, as Reza Sixo Safai did, so that all the creative tools spring from the iPad immediately improves it. After all, the iPad can also be a creative tool, and isn’t that what the commercial was meant to suggest?

Apple has a habit of suggesting its older devices are obsolete by releasing new versions that change their shells and styling without altering what they do in any meaningful way. The point of this ad is not about the iPad’s creative uses — it’s that it’s skinny. That’s the big selling point: the skinniest ever. Apple was so focused on its exciting new marketing feature that it lost sight of what’s really important: the tools that make the things we love.

Animal Well: Where And Why To Find The Kangaroo

https://ift.tt/bCOGxBA
Animal Well: Where And Why To Find The Kangaroo

Animal Well: Where And Why To Find The Kangaroo

If you’ve played the excellent indie metroidvania Animal Well for at least an hour, you’ve probably been surprised by a Kangaroo. Aside from maybe giving you a jump scare, this animal will bounce around and damage you on contact until one of you retreats. You might think your only recourse in these moments is to retreat, but that’s not the case. In fact, this Kangaroo hides a secret for you to hunt down. We’ll tell you where to find this elusive marsupial, and what to do when you do track it down.

There are five locations on Animal Well’s map where the kangaroo can spawn. It will move to one of the other four locations whenever you spot it, so you’ll have to check each spot if you’re trying to hunt it down. As for why you’d want to hunt for it? Well, if you throw a Firecracker whenever the Kangaroo appears, the marsupial will retreat and drop a K Shard. Once you have three K Shards, they automatically combine to form a K Medal, which you can place in a Circular Recess near the top-left side of the map (next to the room where the giant bat appears after placing a candle).

This hunt isn’t necessary to complete the game’s first “layer,” but it is essential to achieving 100% completion. Here’s everything you need to know to knock out this optional objective.

How to find the rooms where the Kangaroo will spawn

Before we outright tell you how to find the Kangaroo, you should know that you can figure out where the Kangaroo will spawn on your own. You will need a certain item to do it, though, and there’s a good chance you missed it before you saw the credits for the first time (it’s not the Top). If this information is enough to pique your curiosity, then stop reading here.

Ready for another hint?

The item you need is the UV Wand. You can obtain it after exploring the area that opens after placing the E Medal into the Circular Recess in the bottom-left quadrant of the map (past the room where you got the B. Flame after the seahorse boss battle, there’s a hidden room on the top-right of the screen above the fish head). The UV Wand shows hidden images and messages you can’t normally see, which you’ll need in order to uncover all kinds of codes in Animal Well.

Back to the topic at hand, the Kangaroo can appear in any room in which the UV Wand reveals a picture of the Kangaroo. You’ll find one spawn point near the top-left end of the map, one near the bottom-right end, and three near the map’s center. If you want to explore and find the spawn points yourself, you now know everything you need. Try to remember where you’ve seen the Kangaroo appear before!

All the Kangaroo spawn points in Animal Well

For those of you who want to cut to the chase, here’s where you can find the Kangaroo in Animal Well.

Animal Well Kangaroo Spot 1: In the center of the map

One of the easiest Kangaroo spawn points to reach is one screen to the right of where you place the four flames at the center of the map. You might recognize this area as the place with the duck. This is one of the easier spots to remember, and you’ve likely seen the Kangaroo pop up here already.

Animal Well Kangaroo Spot 2: Beneath the Egg Room

After you check spot 1, head left until you enter the hallway right underneath the egg room. This one’s right in the hallway.

Animal Well Kangaroo Spot 3: In the starting area

This Kangaroo spawn point is one screen to the right of the very first telephone (save point) you find in the game. If you’ve just checked the first two spots, climb down the ladder from the save point in the center of the map, move left one screen, climb down the next ladder you find, and move one screen to the left again.

Alternatively, you can take the bottom-left entrance in the fast travel hub and platform your way over to this spot as well.

Animal Well Kangaroo Spot 4: The dog shrine with the grass bowl

From the fast travel hub, enter the bear’s mouth at the top left side of the screen. Once you emerge, fall down the pit immediately in front of you and then travel one screen to the right.

Animal Well Kangaroo Spot 5: At the “temple” entrance

The final place the Kangaroo can spawn is, fortunately, easy to access. From the fast travel hub, take the bottom-right entrance. From there, simply move one screen to the right. That’s it!

What should you do if the Kangaroo doesn’t spawn?

As mentioned above, the Kangaroo will switch its location whenever you encounter it. It is not a chance-based system, so entering and exiting the same screen over and over again will not work. If you still can’t find the Kangaroo, go down this list and check each location again. You most likely missed a spot, or didn’t think to recheck every spawn point after encountering it.

This objective seems like a grind, but once you know where the spawn points are, you can hunt it down in just a handful of minutes. Once you have the three K Shards, your business with the kangaroo will be concluded (unless you insist on finding some of the game’s incredibly esoteric secrets, but that’s neither here nor there). Enjoy your newfound medal!

This 1948 Vagabond 23’ single-axle travel trailer is a park model that was acquired by the seller in 2014 and subsequently refurbished in a project that involved installing a bathroom, refinishing the body, and replacing the doors, windows, flooring, electrical system, plumbing, axle, wheels, and wood paneling. The trailer is finished in green and brown, and the floor plan features a forward lounge, a kitchenette, a wet bath, and a rear bedroom. Amenities include window blinds, a sofa and chair, a refrigerator, ceiling vents, and storage cabinets. This Vagabond park model is now offered with a Vagabond-branded water jug and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Vagabond travel trailers were produced by the Vagabond Coach Manufacturing Company of New Hudson, Michigan, from 1931 until production ceased in the late 1960s. The front and side aluminum panels of this example were replaced before the body was refinished in green and brown in 2016, and the doors and window glass were also replaced at that time. Details include a four-pole camp-side awning with a striped canopy as well as hinged windows, a rear storage compartment, a camp-side entry door with a folding boarding step, and a street-side bedroom door. The trailer measures approximately 23′ long and is equipped with connections for shore power, fresh water, and waste disposal. The lounge area features windows on three sides and is furnished with a chair, a curio shelf, a built-in corner cabinet, and a jackknife sofa that converts to a bed. Three manually operated ceiling vents are located overhead. Some of the cabinets were replaced during the refurbishment.

The kitchenette is equipped with a laminate countertop and aluminum trim, a faux-metal vinyl backsplash, a porcelain sink, a six-gallon water heater, a Marvel electric refrigerator/freezer, and a Magic Chef microwave oven. A pull-out work surface extends from beneath the countertop, and storage consists of overhead compartments, four drawers, under-counter cabinets, and a utility closet. The seller notes that the trailer is not equipped with a propane system, therefore the Panel Ray heater and Western Holly range do not operate. One of the cooktop burners is missing.

The rear bedroom features a full mattress, storage shelves, a mirror, an underbed storage compartment, a rear window, and a dedicated entry door. The closet has been modified to house a sink and an arm-mounted mirror, while the adjacent wet-bath-style bathroom is equipped with a composite surround, a shower with a tethered sprayer, a toilet, and a translucent window.

4 House Hacking Mistakes To Avoid

Your house can be one of your biggest expenses, but it can also be a source of extra income through what’s known as house hacking. Essentially, house hacking involves using your own home to make money while still living there and building equity in it. Trending Now: How I Make $5,000 a Month in Passive Income Doing Just 10 Hours of Work a YearTry This: 7 Unusual Ways To Make Extra Money (That Actually Work)

There are many different ways to go about this, such as renting out a room in your house, building and then renting an accessory dwelling unit (ADU), or renovating your house while living in it with the intent to then flip it for a profit. While house hacking can boost your income, you’ll want to think carefully about how to execute your ideas. If done poorly, you could end up losing money or at least making your home less enjoyable to live in.

With that in mind, consider these four house hacking mistakes to avoid.

Underestimating Potential Issues With an Upstairs/Downstairs Duplex

Sure, it seems like a great idea to find two spaces, one on top of the other, but this can potentially lead to more bad than good. In a duplex, you might find yourself overhearing the tenant’s daily noises or get stuck in a situation where one unit’s plumbing issues cause problems in the other unit, as real estate agent Craig Curelop experienced, according to his blog for real estate investing site BiggerPockets.

If you’re leaning towards a duplex, it’s a good idea to bring a buddy to test how the sound travels, and also do a further inspection of the plumbing so there are no surprises in the future, suggested Curelop.

Bypassing Thorough Home Inspections

It might be easy to let your excitement take over when you think you’ve found the perfect place for house hacking, but it’s still important to do your due diligence when it comes to inspections. If your goal is to earn additional money, the last thing you’ll want to do is shell out for unexpected problems like electrical issues or a faulty HVAC system.

Not Vetting Your Tenants

If your house hacking involves sharing your space with others, make sure you’ve selected people who are unlikely to cause you any trouble. Acting as a landlord can be tiresome and costly if your tenants don’t pay their rent on time or cause damage to your property, so it might be worth asking for some references before entering into an agreement with them.

Choosing an Undesirable Location

You might be willing to forgo your preferred location to find a more affordable home that you can buy and then house hack, but consider what that means for attracting others to rent your space. If you choose an undesirable location, yet your house hacking strategy is to find multiple roommates for your home, you might struggle to find tenants — at least at a good price.

Also, think about location as it pertains to more than just finding full-time tenants. If you try to rent out your garage as a podcast studio, for example, but you live in a small town, you might not get as far as if you did that in a city full of creative professionals.
