A Bosch M5 ABS/traction control system has been installed, and the car is equipped with an air jack system. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with Brembo six-piston calipers up front, Pagid racing pads all around, and an adjustable bias bar. The dual master cylinders are said to have been replaced within the last year.

The cabin is surrounded by a roll cage with side-impact bars and has been fitted with a single Racetech fixed-back racing seat, dual Safecraft racing nets, a Schroth six-point harness, a fire suppression system, a rearview camera, and Safecraft quick-release safety nets. A central control panel features buttons and toggle switches for vehicle functions. The car is not equipped with an odometer. A mileage report is provided in the gallery below.

The naturally aspirated 6.2-liter LT1 V8 was replaced in February 2023 and features direct injection and a Bosch MS 6.4 engine control unit. The fuel cell was replaced in October 2023 along with the lift pumps.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through an Xtrac six-speed sequential manual transmission, an aluminum driveshaft, and an Xtrac Salisbury-type limited-slip differential.

An extra set of Forgeline alloy wheels will accompany the car along with a fuel jug, tools, and build documents.

1955 Jewel Travel Trailer for sale on BaT Auctions - sold for $30,333 on May 26, 2024 (Lot #148,396) | Bring a Trailer

This 1955 Jewel is a single-axle travel trailer that was acquired by the seller in 2011. A subsequent refurbishment in 2019 involved disassembling the trailer and replacing the axle, brakes, tires, subfloor, framing, electrical system, plumbing, window seals, and aluminum exterior, installing insulation, a ceiling vent, and a refrigerator, and refreshing the interior. The trailer is finished in turquoise and white, and the floor plan features a bed, a kitchenette, and a dinette with bench seating trimmed in gray cloth upholstery. Amenities include birch paneling, storage cabinets, vinyl flooring, curtains, a sink, a stove, and overhead lighting. This Jewel travel trailer is now offered with stabilizer jacks, a spare tire, hookup accessories, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The exterior was reskinned with white-finished aluminum panels with turquoise accents along the middle of the body. Additional work performed under current ownership included installing taillights and a rear bumper, refurbishing the screen door, and replacing the door handle, a window, and the window seals. The entry door has a diamond-pattern exterior panel, while the inner door features screen panels and a wood frame. Exterior details include bright trim, an equipment compartment, and aluminum rain deflectors over the door and windows. The seller notes a run in the paint as well as a ding in the body where the door has contacted the skin. The awning and outdoor accessories shown in the gallery photos are not included in the sale.

Steel wheels are fitted with polished hubcaps and are mounted with black wall tires. The trailer measures approximately 15′ long, and inlets for water and shore power connections are equipped. The axle, wheel bearings, tires, and electric brakes were replaced in 2019.

The interior was refurbished in 2019 with work including replacing the framing, subfloor, plumbing, electrical system, and countertops, refinishing the cabinets, converting the propane lamp to bulb illumination, reupholstering the dinette seats, and installing insulation, birch paneling, electrical outlets, a Fan-Tastic power-operated ceiling vent, curtains, and vinyl tile flooring. Lighting fixtures are mounted overhead, and the dinette features bench seating trimmed in gray cloth, a laminate tabletop with multi-color graphics, and windows on three sides. The decor shown in the gallery photos is not included in the sale.

The sleeping area features a mattress, three windows, a roll-up hammock above the bed, and a residential-style power outlet. A double-door wardrobe and a compartment under the bed provide additional storage. The adjacent kitchenette is outfitted with a laminate countertop, a Martha Washington four-burner propane stove with an oven, and a bright backsplash as well as a porcelain sink, a slide-out work surface, overhead cabinets, and under-cabinet drawers. The refrigerator was installed during the refurbishment, and per the seller it has been modified with a vintage-style door from an icebox that was removed from the trailer.

Dual propane tanks are secured to the tongue, which is equipped with safety chains and a crank-style jack.

Photos taken during various stages of refurbishment work are presented in the gallery.

A spare tire is included in the sale along with a set of four stabilizer jacks and hookup accessories for water and electricity.

1948 Vagabond 23' Travel Trailer for sale on BaT Auctions - sold for $41,750 on May 28, 2024 (Lot #148,537) | Bring a Trailer

This 1948 Vagabond 23’ single-axle travel trailer is a park model that was acquired by the seller in 2014 and subsequently refurbished in a project that involved installing a bathroom, refinishing the body, and replacing the doors, windows, flooring, electrical system, plumbing, axle, wheels, and wood paneling. The trailer is finished in green and brown, and the floor plan features a forward lounge, a kitchenette, a wet bath, and a rear bedroom. Amenities include window blinds, a sofa and chair, a refrigerator, ceiling vents, and storage cabinets. This Vagabond park model is now offered with a Vagabond-branded water jug and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

Vagabond travel trailers were produced by the Vagabond Coach Manufacturing Company of New Hudson, Michigan, from 1931 until production ceased in the late 1960s. The front and side aluminum panels of this example were replaced before the body was refinished in green and brown in 2016, and the doors and window glass were also replaced at that time. Details include a four-pole camp-side awning with a striped canopy as well as hinged windows, a rear storage compartment, a camp-side entry door with a folding boarding step, and a street-side bedroom door. The trailer measures approximately 23′ long and is equipped with connections for shore power, fresh water, and waste disposal. The seller notes that the bedroom door light is a reproduction unit, and a seller-supplied list of modifications and features can be viewed in the gallery.

The single-axle chassis rolls on 15″ steel wheels that feature polished beauty rings and are mounted with 225/75 Goodyear tires. Stopping power is provided by electrically actuated drum brakes. The chassis is equipped with four stabilizer jacks, a seven-pin trailering harness, and a manual tongue jack.

The interior is outfitted with varnished woodgrain paneling, Marmoleum flooring, window blinds, vintage-style light fixtures, ceiling vents, residential-style power outlets, and overhead storage cabinets. The lounge area features windows on three sides and is furnished with a chair, a curio shelf, a built-in corner cabinet, and a jackknife sofa that converts to a bed. Three manually operated ceiling vents are located overhead. Some of the cabinets were replaced during the refurbishment.

The kitchenette is equipped with a laminate countertop and aluminum trim, a faux-metal vinyl backsplash, a porcelain sink, a six-gallon water heater, a Marvel electric refrigerator/freezer, and a Magic Chef microwave oven. A pull-out work surface extends from beneath the countertop, and storage consists of overhead compartments, four drawers, under-counter cabinets, and a utility closet. The seller notes that the trailer is not equipped with a propane system, therefore the Panel Ray heater and Western Holly range do not operate. One of the cooktop burners is missing.

The rear bedroom features a full mattress, storage shelves, a mirror, an underbed storage compartment, a rear window, and a dedicated entry door. The closet has been modified to house a sink and an arm-mounted mirror, while the adjacent wet-bath-style bathroom is equipped with a composite surround, a shower with a tethered sprayer, a toilet, and a translucent window.

Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery below.

The trailer is titled in California under VIN 679078, while the chassis tag displays serial number 679048.
